Cannot see the image Joe, use Imgur and upload without making it public on Imgur.

Or find another service that doesn't require authentication ;)

  • HardcoreHostileHardcoreHostile Posts: 1,100Community_Member
I think I am okay with my 16GB for now ;) looking to purchase another HDD though, 1TB didn't seem to last long after installing Steam and any games that I play...

I'm actually having to reinstall everything this weekend and flatten the Hard Drives ...
  • BobinRasterdsBobinRasterds Posts: 563Community_Member
Nah just get an SSD run windows on it along with other software you use all the time, save games, music, videos on the HDD. If need just an external HDD. Disk drives are on their way out.
  • HardcoreHostileHardcoreHostile Posts: 1,100Community_Member
I already have that setup ;) I have a 128GB SSD for System files and others and then a 1TB HDD for Programs and Games but it's full now :( so need another HDD that has a bigger capacity, was thinking WD Green 2TB
  • joe.aldredjoe.aldred Posts: 1,233Admin
If you're looking for a slightly better drive, opt for the WD Blue. You get 7200rpm instead of 5400. Youll get faster read/write times with the blue. And if you;re willing to pay the extra, the WD black is much more reliable :)
  • HardcoreHostileHardcoreHostile Posts: 1,100Community_Member
Can't afford the Black.. So settled for green 6gb/s transfer speed ;)/

Currently experiencing multiple issues trying to reinstall Windows 8... So might be off for a while xD

I'm liking the Seagate 4TB SSHD for £130

Sure, Seagate are getting a crap reputation, but it's 4TB only just slower than an SSD at HDD price.

Joe, desktop drives (3.5'') are always 7200 RPM. Only laptop drivers are 5200. But both are slow as fuck so get yourself an SSD.

What happened to the western digital green? That's 5200rpm
  • EmmerickEmmerick Posts: 76Community_Member
Well the standard is 7200RPM. Ofcourse u have lower (and higher in enterprise drives) but the standard for Desktop drives is 7200. ~O)
