Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT) Advanced Rules

Hello! Thanks for reading. These are the advanced rules for TTT, designed for people who have a basic understanding of our server and the TTT gamemode. For the basic rules, including KOS reasons and punishments for rule-breaking, please see the Basic Rules. For tips on how to play TTT, see Tips and Tricks.
For Slay/Kick/Ban reasons please see the Basic Rules.

Thanks,
TTT Staff -

Enforcing the Rules

When staff are on the server, please leave all enforcing of the rules (e.g. Telling people why they are breaking the rules, why they are being slain etc.) to staff. This avoids confusion, and staff having to repeat something several times. When there are no staff online, please speak to Trusted and Trusted Donator players if someone is breaking the rules.

Traitor Baiting

Traitor baiting is the act of shooting around another player to bait them into RDMing the shooter. For example, shooting the wall close to someone’s head would count as T baiting, whereas shooting the floor several feet away would not. It is classed as Traitor baiting when it appears to staff online that the shooter was trying to kill the victim. Traitor baiting counts as attempted RDM, and is a KOSable offence, as well as a slayable one.

Game-Throwing

Game-Throwing is the act of knowingly helping Traitors as an Innocent, or vice versa. One example is using the Detective’s defibrillator to revive a Traitor. This completely throws the game, as normally the Detective is the one person who would be guaranteed not to have revived a Traitor.

Crowbarring Players

Crowbarring a player once will deal 20 damage. If you are crowbarred once you can decide whether or not to KOS the player who damaged you. Crowbarring another player more than once is KOS regardless.

Rules on AFK Players

It is against our rules to kill AFK players. If you are going to go AFK, please press F1, click the Settings tab, scroll down to the bottom, and tick the box saying “Spectate-only Mode”. This will change your team to Spectator. To change back again, just un-tick the box when you come back.

Player Roles

Innocent –
  • You must not attack or destroy Traitor testers or Health Stations put down by a Detective.
  • If you are revived by the Detective, you cannot take action on information you got while you were dead.
  • You must give other Innocents a chance to ID bodies they may have missed while walking past them.
Detective –
  • One of the weapons found in the Detective menu, the Golden Deagle, acts similarly to a Traitor Tester. If one shoots a Traitor with this gun, the Traitor will die. However if one shoots an Innocent, one will die themselves. Because of this aspect of randomness, killing Traitors with this gun does not count as RDM.
  • Detectives cannot order players to kill each other, unless there are only two non-proven players left.
Traitors –
  • You must not shoot/harm your fellow traitors. That includes warning them about anything you might do which could harm them (e.g. suicide bombing)
  • You must not reveal who your fellow Traitors are.
  • Boom Bodies are false bodies that Traitors can buy from the C menu. It will appear as an unidentified body, and as such, must be identified by Innocents. This is just another way for Traitors to call a false KOS on Innocents (If they do not ID the body).
Specific Map Rules

Airbus
  • Blocking doors in spawn is KOS. (This is also a slayable offence if done in the warmup period.)
  • If players get stuck outside the T trap doors, they will be slain, as they should be dead.
  • Activating the panel in the spawn, which allows Traitors to use the Spawn Turret, is KOS.
Community Pool
  • Using props to block the water drop by the ladders down to the tester room is KOS and a slayable offence as Innocent.
TTT Events
  • Team Deathmatch - All rules apply to this event, including RDM and players will be punished if they are found breaking them.

  • Stalker - All rules apply to this event, including RDM and players will be punished if they are found breaking them. It is very obvious for Innocents to know who the Traitors are, because they're either Invisible, Carrying a knife (This is an exception if the secret knife has been found on the map, Community Bowling), being able to long jump, you cannot see their name when you look at them, or if they can walk faster than usual; This means that there would be no excuse to RDM without doing it on purpose or by accident.

  • Shuffle Deathmatch - All rules apply to this event, including RDM and players will be punished if they are found breaking them.

  • Dodgeball - All rules apply to this event, including RDM and players will be punished if they are found breaking them, however RDM is an exception in SOME circumstances as it is very easy to kill or damage someone on your team. This is NOT an excuse to RDM, and you still can be punished for it, if staff interpret it reasonably that you are doing it intentionally to ruin the game for others.

  • Headshot War - All rules apply to this event, except RDM.

  • Bighead - All rules apply to this event, including RDM and players will be punished if they are found breaking them.

  • Deathmatch - All rules apply to this event, apart from RDMing, as it is a Free For All to kill to anyone they wish.

  • Chaos - All rules apply to this event, apart from RDMing, as it is a Free For All to kill to anyone they wish.
